• Tomographic emissivity reconstruction provides an independent check of magnetic modeling and indirect evidence for field reversal.
• Can be used in conjunction with spectroscopy to constrain impurity modeling
• Imaging of the SOL and divertor regions is used to help understand the interaction between end-biasing
and core plasma.
• Estimate ionization in the mirror plasma surrounding the FRC.
• Identify off-normal events.
