Mapping Global FRC Orbit Topology
• To identify fast ion orbits, you only need two variables:
• Pθ, which determines the shape of the effective potential well
• H, which determines the particle’s behavior in that potential well
• Rather than identify orbits 1-by-1, a global map of all possible orbits can be constructed
• This map changes depending on flux profile, but is similar for most C-2W FRCs
