over the years, in practice these separate comparisons help to
improve knowledge of plasma profiles and beam characteris- tics. This, along with the significant diagnostic improvements planned for C-2W (including equilibrium reconstructions), suggests that investigation of the fast-ion distribution function will become the most promising aspect of FIDA studies on C-2W.
