Spectral lines to monitor arcing identified from correlation analysis of survey spectrometer data and NIST ASD
• Cross-correlation performed using 250-700 nm survey spectrometer data.
• Atomic spectra (wavelengths, relative intensities, spontaneous emission coefficients)
downloaded from NIST Atomic Spectral Database.
• For each spectral peak in survey spectrometer data, a family of correlated wavelengths is constructed.
• A correlation metric is calculated for each family for each atomic spectrum.
• Based on the match between the family of correlated wavelengths and NIST spectrum.
• Weighted by the spontaneous emission coefficient, cross-correlation coefficient.
• This analysis was used to determine narrow-band interference filter specifications.
• Method can indicate if measurement is contaminated by emission from other ions.
