Our mission to deliver commercial fusion power starts with our preferred fuel, hydrogen-boron (also known as p-B11 or p-11B), which is non-radioactive, safe and abundant.

Hydrogen-boron is an ideal fuel source for fusion reactions because it’s:

🌳 Safe and sustainable

🌊 Abundant in nature and commonly mined on Earth

🎈 Less expensive than other fusion fuels, enabling scalable, cost-competitive electricity production.

Through our partnership with Japan’s National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS), our scientists are experimenting with hydrogen-boron to gain insight for our commercial fusion concept.

Today, we’re congratulating the TAE-NIFS team on a major milestone: their recent publication in the journal Nuclear Fusion about an innovative heating method that combines radio frequency waves with neutral particle beams to enhance the hydrogen-boron fusion reaction rate: https://lnkd.in/ezcdnCYZ

This publication results from years of collaboration between TAE and NIFS, and it points to a promising method for generating clean, safe and cost-effective fusion energy.⚡
