Sónet Ferreira joined TAE Technologies in 2026 as Chief Accounting Officer. She brings more than 15 years of finance and accounting leadership experience across public, private, and founder-led companies in the energy and renewable energy sectors.

Prior to joining TAE, Sónet served as finance leader for a NASDAQ-listed renewable energy company, where she established the U.S. finance function, led SEC reporting as a Foreign Private Issuer, and designed and implemented the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control framework. Previously, she served in senior finance leadership for a large privately held oil and gas producer, where she led the finance organization through a Chapter 11 restructuring and complex Section 363 asset sale.

Before transitioning into executive leadership, Sónet spent more than 11 years with Ernst & Young (EY), advancing to Senior Manager in Assurance. During her tenure, she advised large public and private companies on SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and complex financial reporting matters while leading audit engagements across the energy, industrial, and entertainment sectors.

Sónet earned a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master’s in Theory of Accountancy from the University of Pretoria. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the California Board of Accountancy and a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) through the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
