The latest release in our “Fusion Future” poster series is here!
“The Path to Fusion Power” is inspired by TAE’s vision for compact, aneutronic fusion power plants fueled with hydrogen-boron.
Hydrogen-boron is the safest possible fuel for fusion, with zero carbon emissions, no long-lived radioactive waste, and more than 100,000 years of supply accessible all around the world.
Using this approach, TAE Fusion Power energy plants would be safe enough to be placed even in the middle of a bustling city – no high-voltage transmission lines, deep mining, or miles of acreage required

TAE had the pleasure of hosting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) at our California headquarters.
Thank you to Harriet Kung, the Acting Director of the Office of Science, and JP Allain, the DOE’s Associate Director for Fusion Energy Sciences, for joining us on a tour of our 5th-generation fusion research reactor and our TAE Power Solutions lab!
TAE CEO Michl Binderbauer; Chief Science Officer Dr. Toshiki Tajima; VP of Fusion Energy Erik Trask; TAE Power Solutions CEO Kedar Munipella; UC Irvine Vice Chancellor Pramod Khargonekar; and University of California Vice President for Research & Innovation Theresa Maldonado joined these DOE leaders to discuss TAE’s clean energy ecosystem.
We’re developing a clean, safe, economical approach to commercial fusion power, and our TAE Power Solutions team creates the technology our world needs to advance more efficient EVs and battery energy storage systems.

Imagine a world without pollution, extraction and scarcity – a world powered by good, clean energy. A world in which reliable fusion power complements wind and solar, providing unlimited on-demand electricity. That’s what TAE has been working toward since 1998. We’re unlocking the power of the sun and stars right here on Earth with hydrogen-boron – the safest, most sustainable form of fusion. In the fusion-powered future, you can flip on a light and cool off your home without a second thought about your carbon footprint. TAE’s emissions-free, radioactive-free fusion power is not just clean energy; it is a pathway to a bright and energetic world.

When TAE began, our founding team imagined a future with carbon-free, on-demand electricity from the cleanest and safest approach to fusion power. Today, we’re building our 6th fusion research reactor to demonstrate the viability of net energy with our unique approach to fusion.
In the words of George Bernard Shaw, “Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will.”
To help inspire your imagination for the future of fusion power, check out our new printable art series “Power Possibilities,” which illustrates the potential of what we can do with hydrogen-boron fusion energy.

Will nuclear fusion solve our climate change problem for good?
Nuclear fusion is the reaction that powers stars and scientists say replicating it on Earth could produce all the energy we’ll ever need without the CO2.
Nuclear fusion could actually be on the cusp of commercial viability
Growing investment and collaboration are making nuclear fusion more viable than ever.
How Inventing Fusion Could Mean a Long-Term Solution for Rising Heating Prices
Ahead of the cold winter weather, there is a rush on heating fuel in Ireland, where people are stockpiling turf logs — a uniquely Irish fuel that is made from dried-out bricks of peat cut from the country’s once extensive boglands.
The End of Scarcity
Nuclear fusion is the primordial source of the sun’s energy. For decades, scientists have been trying to re-create it on Earth. Now they’re closer than ever to achieving it—and to unlocking a future of clean power for all.
Nuclear Fusion and Climate Change: ‘We Need Every Technology We Can Get’
Nuclear fusion might be one of the most valuable tools humans will develop to battle climate change—but will we all be underwater by the time it gets here? There is no question that the next few years are critical. “We know that we can do some impact positively with renewables, no question. But we also know that they can’t do 100 percent,” TAE Technologies CEO Michl Binderbauer told Newsweek. “What ideally happens is we maximize solar and wind as soon as we can in areas where it makes sense … And hopefully, very quickly, you’re ramping fusion.”
TAE Technologies and Natural Selection Tour Team Up to Reduce Carbon Footprint with TAE Power Management Solutions
TAE Technologies, the world’s leading developer of clean fusion, today announced a three-year partnership with the Natural Selection Tour (NST), uniting the two organizations in a shared commitment to sustainability and conserving the natural environment. NST is a world-class, one-of-its-kind snowboarding tournament showcasing riders competing on the planet’s most exciting natural(ly enhanced) terrain.
TAE Technologies Partners with Japan’s Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) for Fusion Fuel Research
TAE Technologies, the world’s largest private fusion energy company, today announced a landmark partnership with Japan’s National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) that enables the two organizations to test the effects of hydrogen-boron (p-B11) fusion reactions in the NIFS Large Helical Device (LHD). The results of this research have the potential to unlock a new milestone in TAE’s mission to develop commercial fusion power with p-B11, the cleanest and most affordable fuel for fusion cycles.
TAE Technologies Commercializes Breakthrough Power Management Technology Developed for Fusion to Revolutionize Electric Vehicles, Charging Infrastructures, and Energy Storage
