TAE Technologies Highlights

Congratulations to Senior Scientist Roelof Groenewald, Science Fellow Dan Barnes and the rest of the TAE team on winning a 2025 INFUSE Award!

This @U.S. Department of Energy research grant will support TAE’s work with a new algorithm that can perform higher fidelity simulations of plasma behavior — capturing crucial, previously unseen details that will advance our development of a cost-effective fusion machine.

The algorithm is an upgraded Darwin model, enhanced by TAE Science Fellow Dan Barnes to run faster and in 3D. TAE will partner with @Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to implement this new approach into the open-source code, WarpX, and use it to simulate plasma performance in our current machine.

As a company founded out of @UC Irvine, we’re proud to continue our tradition of intentional public-private partnership to deliver the cleanest and safest commercial fusion power.
