This week, TAE had the pleasure of joining the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for its inaugural World Fusion Energy Group meeting in Rome.
The WFEG is a global community of world leaders and private stakeholders working to accelerate the development and deployment of commercial #fusion power. This week’s event, attended by TAE Board Member Marco Arese and Elisabeth Siegel from our Policy & Global Affairs team, included dozens of countries that shared statements about their intent to support fusion energy research and commercialization.
TAE’s approach was a highlight of the meeting, as both UK Director General Lee McDonough with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, as well as Francesco Corvaro, the Italian Special Envoy for Climate, noted our progress toward commercial hydrogen-boron fusion power and the game-changing applications of our fusion research.

Part of our mission is to spark curiosity in young minds and empower students to explore careers in #STEM – laying a strong foundation for their personal growth and the future of innovation
Today, we’re delighted to unveil a new, dedicated digital space to advance education in science, technology, education, and math, with a special focus on the potential of fusion power.
This space, combined with the local work of our STEM outreach team, is designed to support schools and organizations in guiding the next generation of creative thinkers and inspire students to imagine, explore, and lead the way into a new era of energy solutions
As you can see from this year’s Girl Scouts of Orange County STEM Expo, our demos can be an electric good time! Visit TAE.com/STEM to learn more

Advanced materials and additive manufacturing (AM) – also known as 3Dprinting – are some of the best tools in our toolbox to accelerate our progress toward commercial fusion power.
As TAE Project Engineer Vincent Pilard shared at this year’s Global AM Summit, our successful integration of AM has been key to solving fusion engineering challenges quickly and sustainably.
“The global energy demand is on course to double by 2050 – fusion is capable of sustaining the planet for thousands of years, safely delivering environmentally responsible baseload power,” Pilard presented at the NAMIC Singapore event. “Leveraging AM optimizes our capability to build components with complex geometries and develop engineering solutions with high-performance materials.”

No tricks over here, just a treat! The next installment in our “Fusion Future” poster series is now available!
This custom artwork takes inspiration from TAE’s vision for greener, fusion-powered communities. With access to hydrogen-boron fusion power plants, the world’s neighborhoods could thrive with increased electrification of transportation, homes, schools and businesses – as well as future-focused innovations like vertical farming for a climate-resilient local food supply.
As the world’s energy consumption continues to climb, we’re going to need an abundant, carbon-free, reliable power source to match that need. Fusion is the solution.
We have ‘ignition’: Fusion breakthrough draws energy gain
U.S. scientists have achieved “ignition” — a fusion reaction that produced more energy than it took to create — a critical milestone for nuclear fusion and a step forward in the pursuit of a nearly limitless source of clean energy, Energy Department officials said Tuesday.
Nuclear fusion, the process that powers the sun and other stars, occurs when two atoms’ nuclei collide under extreme temperatures, causing a reaction that can generate incredible amounts of energy with few environmental costs.
Nuclear fusion could transform the energy sector. Chevron and Alphabet are already investing.
The latest step toward pollution-free power has the potential to transform the energy sector, perhaps decades from now, but some companies are already positioning themselves to benefit.
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said on Tuesday that scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California had made “a tremendous scientific breakthrough” in their tests of nuclear fusion, the reaction that powers the sun. While prior efforts to achieve fusion—combining two hydrogen atoms to produce helium in a reaction that produces energy—consumed more energy than they released, the Livermore scientists flipped the balance.
The promises of fusion energy and what a research breakthrough could mean
The promise of zero-carbon energy has long been too good to be true, but researchers say they’ve found a breakthrough in what’s known as fusion energy. Fusion energy is a process that occurs in our Sun and other stars and doesn’t emit greenhouse gasses or radioactive waste.
Scientists produce nuclear fusion breakthrough
The Department of Energy is expected to announce tomorrow that researchers at the Lawrence Livermore National Lab in California have used lasers to produce a nuclear fusion reaction that creates energy. NBC News’ Tom Costello shares more about what scientists are calling the “Holy Grail” of clean energy.
U.S. to report breakthrough in clean energy
Basically the sun in a box. To talk about what this may mean in the long term implications I’m joined by Michael — CEO of T 80 technologies, the private fusion energy company. Michael, great to have you on the show. You have the tough job here of explaining this to our audience. In layman’s terms, explain exactly what’s being achieved here?
Clean Fusion Energy Leader TAE Technologies Wins $17.4M CalCompetes Grant
TAE Technologies, a private company founded to commercialize fusion energy with the cleanest environmental profile, has been awarded a highly competitive California Competes Grant by Governor Gavin Newsom’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz).
The $17.4 million grant will directly support job creation in fusion development, as well as TAE’s rapidly expanding power management business.
TAE Technologies Honored by Goldman Sachs for Entrepreneurship
Goldman Sachs selected Binderbauer from multiple industries to be honored at the two-day event.
