1-Dimensional Equilibrium Reconstruction for C-2W Plasma
October 2019 | Sangeeta Gupta | APS-DPP | Poster
1-Dimension equilibrium is reconstructed using experimental plasma profiles, 1-D Ampere’s law, and Kinetic Monte Carlo fast ions.

Analysis – interpretive modeling of experiment. Infer plasma parameters and profiles from diagnostics. Estimate transport coefficients and confinement times
April 2019 | A.Necas | 2019 Sherwood Fusion Theory | Poster
TAE Technologies, Inc, has an active fusion plasma research program centered around the FRC (Field Reversed Configuration) magnetic topology and the existing C-2W (aka Norman) experiment.

Flexible control systems for all three of these actuators are available on the C-2W experiment, so we study their effects on FRC Equilibrium and Global Stability
October 2018 | P.C. Norgaard | APS-DPP | Poster
Bayesian methods are used to infer Field Reversed Configuration (FRC) plasma properties for the C-2W machine at TAE Technologies.

The magnetic structure of FRCs cannot be measured directly by existing diagnostics. A new tool “Grushenka” finds the structure based on magnetic measurements at the vessel wall.
