An upgraded array of energy analyzers and bolometers has been installed in the divertors of C-2W to measure axial power losses as well as the electron temperature and ion energy distribution function (IEDF) of the plasma at the termination point of the open field lines. relatively large Larmor radius.

We investigate here the interaction of the mirror plasma scrape-off layer, characterized by drift-interchange turbulence with an exponential toroidal wavenumber spectrum, and the much more quiescent FRC core, characterized by very low ion-scale turbulence levels, and a flat or inverted toroidal wavenumber spectrum.
