14th International Conference on Open Magnetic Systems for Plasma Confinement (OS 2025)

OS 2025 will present the latest experimental, numerical, and theoretical studies on plasma physics and fusion science, including plasma confinement, plasma heating and stability, transport phenomena, direct energy conversion, plasma diagnostics, plasma-wall interactions, applications of mirror plasmas, mirror-based 14-MeV neutron sources, and prospects for mirror-based reactors. TAE Technologies Director of Diagnostics Thomas Roche and Lead Analysis Scientist Peter Yushmanov will attend to provide presentations.

25th Topical Conference on Radio Frequency Power in Plasmas

Organized by the Max-Planck-Institute for Plasma Physics, this conference explores all aspects of electromagnetic waves in plasmas, including but not limited to applications in magnetic fusion devices, RF plasma sources, and studies of basic plasma wave physics and technology. TAE Technologies Lead Scientist Wayne Harris will attend to provide an invited talk.

14th ITER International School (IIS 2025)

The ITER International School (IIS) aims to prepare young scientists and engineers for working in the field of nuclear fusion. IIS 2025 will focus on Integrated Modeling in Magnetic Fusion Plasmas, and will feature presentations from TAE Technologies Scientist Jon Drobny, Engineer Harrison Eggers, and Jr. Researcher Laura Jian.

Generation of field-reversed configurations via neutral beam injection

April 2025 | T. Roche | Nature Communications | Paper

We report evidence of successful generation of field-reversed configuration plasmas by neutral beam injection. This is achieved by trapping the steady state beams in an initial seed plasma, hence providing a direct source of toroidally directed energetic ion current and increase plasma …
